To ensure every student is prepared for the rigors of our curriculum, students who do not currently attend Quarry Lane must follow the registration process below.

Academic Course Registration

Submit Required Forms: These forms are mandatory to ensure students are academically prepared for the intensive workload.
- Course Approval Form (link provided below): Complete this online form for the academic credit course(s) you intend to take. You will be required to upload a copy of the student's transcript (official or unofficial) which indicates the student has met the course prerequisite minimum is required to verify readiness and course placement.
- Teacher Feedback Form: It is the student's responsibility to send the Teacher Feedback Form link to the appropriate subject area teacher. For your convenience, we have provided sample email template here that you can copy and paste to ensure the teacher has all the necessary information.
Academic Review: Our Office of Academics will review your submission to confirm readiness for the program.
Formal Enrollment: Once the Course Approval Form is processed, you will receive an email with a unique link to complete your formal registration and tuition payment. Please note: Enrollment is not finalized until the formal registration and tuition payment have been received and processed.

Enrichment Only Course Registration

Students who are ONLY enrolling in an enrichment course should register through the "Enrichment Only" registration form. If a student is enrolling in both an enrichment course AND an academic course, they must follow the Academic Course Registration process listed above.

Students who are enrolling in both an academic (for-credit course) and an enrichment course MUST follow the academic course registration process noted here. Once they are approved for the academic course, they will receive a formal enrollment link and may register for BOTH courses in that form.

Summer Academy Enrichment Course Registration

The following Summer Academy classes are offered Monday through Friday. Please refer to the Course Catalog for the designated time for the course selected. Each subject listed below is offered to various grade levels. Please note the start and stop times for each course, as well as the session dates and length (3 weeks or 6 weeks. Note that students should be entering the grade levels listed for the 2025-2026 academic year (i.e. a current 8th grade student is a rising 9th grader and is eligible for a 9th grade course).

IMPORTANT:

Please double check the session dates for the course you are registering for.

If you are enrolling in a for-credit, academic course in addition to an enrichment course, you must enroll for both courses using the Non-QLS Student Academic Course Enrollment Form. Do not use this form to enroll.

Part 2: 2026 Summer Academy Agreement

Parent(s) agree and promise to comply with all registration and tuition policies, terms, and conditions of The Quarry Lane School.

Parent(s) understand the (6-week) for-credit courses cover a full year of content and the program is designed to be fast-paced for students.

Tuition Payment

The tuition balance for the summer classes is due and payable upon signing this enrollment agreement. THIS TUITION IS NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE.

Contract Clause #4required

Parent(s) understand that you must purchase your own textbooks for your requested course (costs may vary). Textbook requirements are listed under the course description.

Contract Clause #5required

Enrollment Agreement and Parents Liability
Parent(s) understand that their obligation to pay fees for the summer classes are unconditional and that no portion of the fees paid or outstanding will be refunded in the event of absence, suspension, withdrawal, or dismissal from Quarry Lane Summer School. If the student should be withdrawn or dismissed prior to the completion of the summer school course, the tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Contract Clause #6required

Publicity and Photo Release
Parent(s) agree that The Quarry Lane School has the irrevocable right to use their student’s image or likeness, name, voice, student information pertaining to school functions and activities, student work, etc. in, but not limited to, photographs/videos/press releases/radio spots/websites/brochures or other school promotional media without financial compensation for an unlimited time. Parent(s) wishing to decline this Publicity and Photo Release must submit a written request to the Quarry Lane School Main Office. This release does not apply to photographs taken during extra-curricular activities. Students who attend extra-curricular activities forfeit their rights to retain authority over the publication of photos taken.

Contract Clause #7required

Grounds for Dismissal
The Quarry Lane School retains the right to dismiss any student for unsatisfactory conduct on campus or off campus. The delinquency of tuition or any other school fees shall also be grounds for dismissal. The regulations of The Quarry Lane School, specifically including, but not limited to, all policies, rules and regulations specified in The Quarry Lane School Parent/Student Handbook. The School may also terminate enrollment if the student, parent(s) or guardian(s) fail to cooperate with faculty and administration.

Contract Clause #8required

Entire Agreement
This enrollment agreement may not be terminated by parent(s) for reasons of absence or withdrawal of said pupil or for any other reasons. No waiver or modification of this agreement shall be binding upon the parties unless it is in writing and signed by all parties to this agreement. There are no other oral agreements or representations that are not contained in this agreement and any oral evidence of the same shall not be admissible in any civil action or proceeding. This agreement shall be binding on and inure to the benefit of the respective parties, their heirs, legal representatives, successors, and assigns.

Contract Clause #9required

Collection Costs A $30.00 fee will be assessed for returned payments/checks. If collection or legal action is instituted on this enrollment agreement, Parent(s) agree to pay all costs and disbursements including all attorney fees and legal costs incurred to collect and enforce this indebtedness. Any litigation or civil action concerning this agreement shall be venued in a court of competent jurisdiction in Alameda County, California. Time is expressly declared to be of the essence in this Agreement. Any legal proceedings relating to or arising out of collections for late charges and/or tuition, or deposit or any other payment is due shall be governed by the laws of the State of California.

Academic Demand

Parent(s) understand Summer Academy classes offered for credit are six weeks in length; a thirty-seven-week, yearlong course is condensed into this time period. As a result, courses are rigorous and demanding, with a heavy workload that includes weekly readings, several written assignments, daily homework, and multiple quizzes and exams. The content and curriculum can be challenging and often require a high level of critical thinking and analysis. The assignments are designed to test understanding of the material and to push students to think more deeply about the subject. The exams are difficult and require students to have a thorough grasp of the material.
