Engineering and Robotics

At Quarry Lane, engineering is part of our DNA. The fundamentals of engineering and design principals are introduced as early as Jr. Kindergarten and incorporated as one of our core curriculum classes by the third grade. With this foundation in engineering knowledge, our students are well-prepared to challenge themselves through our robust engineering and robotics program in our Upper School.

Students interested in pursuing engineering courses and laying a foundation for a degree and/or career in engineering have the opportunity to select from a wide variety of specially designed courses and project work, taught by industry professionals.

Our world-class engineering and robotics program fuels innovation, teamwork, and creativity that wholly prepare our students to become the innovators, thinkers and leaders of tomorrow.

Quarry Lane's award-winning robotics team offers both a middle and high school program, both competitive and non-competitive, for students interested in the world of robotics. Competing in the VEX Robotics tournament circuit, our middle school team has consecutively qualified to compete in the VEX World Championships held in Louisville, Kentucky annually.

Our high school robotics team competes in the FIRST Tech Challenge circuit. In 2018, the high school robotics team won the California state tournament, qualifying to compete in the West Coast Super Regional Championship, held in Spokane, Washington.
