Attending Columbia University this fall

Sena Adansi at QLS Alumni in Dublin, CA

In her time at Quarry Lane, Lori has participated in a number of activities including the Quarry Lane robotics team and the Current Events Club. She has also been a member of the varsity girls basketball team. She has also worked with QLS biology instructor, Dr. Tim Pale, in breeding snakes. Lora has also been honored as the valedictorian of the class of 2019.

Best QLS Memory

Soon after starting the snake breeding program, Dr. Pale and I spent a long time researching and debating different snake morphs (patterns) that we wanted the male snake we were going to get to have. After a week or two of this, we settled on one, and Dr. Pale went to go pick him up. My favorite memory is the Monday morning when I first met our new snake. He was so small that he fit into the palm of my hand. We named him Kalahari, after the desert, since he is yellow and tan.

What I'll Miss Most About QLS

Definitely the people! I will miss all of the teachers and my classmates.

Faculty Quote

"Whether studying Sir Francis Drake as a freshman or conflicts of recent history as a senior, Lori has always exemplified relentless pursuit of academic excellence and energy, energy, ENERGY (!). Lori seems poised to be the Energizer Bunny of the academic world: when it comes to achievement, she surely keeps going and going - though with purpose, vision, and a passion for learning, as well. We'll miss your energy and your positive spirit, Lori, but we know you're headed to fabulous places, and we hope to hear from you often."

-Dr. David Montgomery, Social Sciences Department Head
