![]() Dear Quarry Lane Families,
We hope you are doing well. It has been an extraordinary school year and we appreciate your continued patience and support as we navigate, through all the challenges and shifting guidelines. Keeping our community healthy and safe, while keeping our students engaged and learning, has been, and continues to be, our highest priority. As many of you may know, as of today, March 9th, Alameda County was placed in the Red Tier of the state's reopening framework. Under the Red Tier, Upper School grade levels may begin returning to campus, adhering to school re-opening guidance and mitigation strategies to support the health and safety of students and staff. With this update from the County, we are pleased to announce a tentative reopening plan for the remainder of the school year.
Campus Reopening Schedule (Grades 5-12):
*During finals week, all Upper School students will complete their semester two final exams remotely.
High School Weekly Onsite Rotation Please note that we will be implementing the weekly onsite rotation schedule for high school students to reduce the density of students onsite. On Monday, April 12th, we will welcome our 9th and 10th grade onsite students back to campus. The following week, on Monday, April 19th, we will welcome our 11th and 12th grade onsite students on campus while our 9th and 10th grade students shift to remote instruction for the week, and so on. This weekly rotation will continue for the remainder of the school year.
Detailed information, including dates for our mandatory campus reopening meetings, will be announced soon. During these meetings, families will have the opportunity to ask questions regarding our campus reopening. Keep in mind that this timeline is tentative, pending any updated guidance from State and County public health officials. We will continue to be in constant contact with the Alameda County Department of Health/Education. Please continue to refer to our Information Hub for the most up-to-date information. In addition, our Path to Reopening Guide maps out important guidelines and protocols for our safe return to campus.
We look forward to having all our onsite learners back on campus and we are grateful for the hard work and dedication of our students, families, teachers, and staff over this school year. As we begin to welcome our Upper School students back on campus, it is critical for each member of our community to continue to adhere to health and safety practices at home, and off-campus. Keeping our community safe requires a continued, diligent effort from every member of our community.
Kindly, Quarry Lane School Administration
