What is The Quarry Lane School? Quarry Lane is a coeducational, private day school for infants through twelfth grade students. We have three locations: Our Pleasanton West campus, located at 4444B Black Avenue, provides preschool and pre-kindergarten. Our Pleasanton East campus, located at 3750 Boulder Street, provides infant care through Kindergarten as well as after school care and summer programs for school age children. Our Dublin campus, located at 6363 Tassajara Road, provides Junior Kindergarten through twelfth grade education. DIRECTIONS
Why would I choose a private school for my child?
Parents prefer the smaller class sizes, excellent teachers and high academic standards. Students receive more individualized attention in a school focusing on their academic, social and emotional well-being. Private schools offer a closer knit community with increased parental involvement.
What type of curriculum do you have? We have a custom curriculum that adheres to a high academic standard. We offer advanced placement, honors, and accelerated courses in addition to our International Academy and ESL program. For high school, we offer three distinct academic tracks: The International Baccalaureate High School Diploma Programme Track, The Science, Engineering and Technology Track and The College Preparatory Track. Do you have extended care for working parents? Yes, we offer before and after school care in our Extended Education Program. AFTER SCHOOL
When can I enroll my child in your school? We have an open enrollment system and fill classes based on availability.
What is the admissions process? Families are encouraged to tour the campus, meet the admissions staff and complete an application packet, which includes a student assessment. ADMISSIONS
Are you accredited? The Quarry Lane School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the National Independent Private School Association. We are an International Baccalaureate World School.
Are you affiliated with a religious organization? We are an independent school not affiliated with any religious denomination. Our diverse student body and staff celebrate a variety of faiths, cultures and backgrounds. We have a character development program imbedded into our curriculum that guides our students into becoming kind, respectful and honest members of society.
Where do your students come from? Our students come from Dublin, Pleasanton, Livermore, San Ramon, Danville, Blackhawk, and other East Bay neighborhoods. We also accept international applicants through our International Academy.
What extra-curricular activities are available? Students participate in a variety of extra-curricular and enrichment classes such as band, dance, chess, music, theater arts, applied science and engineering, technology and visual arts. Students may participate in science activities, community service projects, dances and field trips. We offer sports teams for volleyball, basketball, cross country, soccer, tennis and golf. ATHLETICS
