Quarry Lane Middle School, Grades 6 - 8

The Quarry Lane Middle School offers a challenging, engaging and safe environment where students experience the exciting and formative years of early adolescence.  At this stage of development, dramatic cognitive growth enables students to think in more abstract and complex ways.  During this time period, the goal of The Quarry Lane Middle School is to provide a fully supportive atmosphere while encouraging the students’ ability to make academic progress.

The Quarry Lane School believes that a strong middle school curriculum lays a vital foundation for the academic challenges of high school.  As a student’s maturity and talent evolve, we evaluate and determine the course placement that will best challenge and inspire each student to achieve academic excellence.  Together, teachers, students and parents design a proper course of study to fit the students' needs and ensure that students can thrive and succeed in their chosen high school academic track.  Academic Tracks include:  The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme Track, The Science Engineering and Technology Track and The College Preparatory Track. Students at The Quarry Lane School are active participants in their learning through independent inquiry as well as teamwork.  Our dedicated and talented faculty members foster clear, thoughtful communication between home and school, forming a partnership that values parental participation and educational excellence. 

The Quarry Lane School provides a well-rounded education including an emphasis on social skills, altruism, sportsmanship and teamwork.  With that endeavor in mind, we encourage participation in many clubs and extracurricular activities such as athletics, community service and the performing arts.
