1.SOCIAL STUDIES
(40 credits)

one year World History            one year Western Civilization
one year U.S. History
one year American Gov't & Economics

 a.two years required, including one year of U.S. History or one-half year of U.S. History or one-half of Civics or American Government, and one year of World History, Cultures and Geography
2.ENGLISH
(40 credits)
four years required  b.four years college preparatory English required not more than two semesters of ninth grade English can be used to meet this requirement
 
3.MATH
(30 credits)
three years required  c.three years required (four years recommended) including Algebra, Geometry, and Intermediate or Advanced Algebra
 
4.SCIENCE
(30 credits)

two years physical science
one year life science

 d.two years of Laboratory Science (three years recommended) - Biology, Chemistry, Physics
 
5.FOREIGN LANGUAGE
(30 credits)
three years required
of same language
 e.two years required of the same lanuage (three years recommended)
 
6.PHYSICAL EDUCATION
(10 credits)
one year required  none
 
7.FINE ARTS (VPA)
(10 credits)
one year required  f.Visual & Preforming Arts - one year of Art, Music, Drama or Dance required
 
8.ELECTIVES
additional courses to complete a
minimum of 230 credits required
for graduation
 g.one year of college preparatory electives chosen from the following aress: Visual and Preforming Arts, History or Social Science,English, Advanced Mathematics, Laboratory Science, and Languages other than English
 

9th – 11th grade students must take a minimum of 6 classes, 12th grade students must take a minimum of 5 classes and a community service activity is required every year.

Depends on level of foreign language achieved, requirement is through the third year of a language.
