Summer is the perfect time for students to have fun and let loose while also keeping their brains and bodies active! Our Summer Engineering Camp offers a dynamic, engaging program designed to spark the imagination and creativity of our campers while building solid engineering and technology skills. Quarry Lane's Summer Engineering Camp is offered to students entering grades 3 through 8.

Program Details

Quarry Lane offers two, three-week sessions of our Engineering Camp. Rates are $850 per session. Session dates are:

  • Session 1: June 12-June 30
  • Session 2: July 3-July 21 (closed July 4)

Camp begins at 9 a.m and ends at 12 p.m.

For campers who are looking for a full-day of fun, Quarry Lane offers a Jr. Summer Academy and Summer Camp. Extended care options are also available. Scroll down for more information, including rates.


Summer Engineering Camp Options (Grades 3-8)

Students can select one of two options from our Summer Engineering Camp offered 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Session 1-Robotics (June 12-30):

Learn to design, build, and control robots! Students will work collaboratively to meet and solve specifically assigned challenges. Students will develop skills which translate to critical thinking and problem solving in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Most of the class will be spend working with mechanical frames, joints, motors, control hardware, and software to make their robots come to life.

Session 2-Programming (July 3- 21):

Discover the fundamentals of computer programming! Learn to write code to design apps, software, or even video games depending on their interests. Students will learn to apply basic computer science constructs, such as conditional statements and loops, to work on individual projects of their choosing

Afternoon Program Options (Grades 3-5)

For campers looking for a full-day of fun, Quarry Lane offers the following programs. Sessions run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Students enrolled in a full-day plan will have lunch from 12 p.m.-1 p.m (lunch and snacks must be provided from home). Please note that the following afternoon programs are available to students entering grades 3-5. Rates for each program vary, please see the program descriptions below for the individual rates.

Jr. Summer Academy

Keep your mind active and get an academic boost at our Jr. Summer Academy. Our Jr. Summer Academy is our academic enrichment program, offering classes in subjects such as mathematics and language arts. This is the perfect program for students looking to prepare themselves academically for the next school year!

Jr. Summer Academy sessions run concurrently with our Summer Engineering Camp with two, three-week sessions (Session 1: June 12-June 30; Session 2: July 3-July 21 [closed July 4]). Jr. Summer Academy rate: $753 per session.

Summer Recreation Camp

Join us for some summertime fun in the afternoon at our Summer Recreation Camp. Campers will enjoy an afternoon balanced with arts and crafts, cooperative game and outdoor recreation.

Summer Recreation Camp sessions run concurrently with our Summer Engineering Camp with two, three-week sessions (Session 1: June 12-June 30; Session 2: July 3-July 21 [closed July 4]). Jr. Summer Academy rate: $426 per session.

Extended Care

Quarry Lane offers extended care for our campers who need to arrive early and/or leave later. Extended care hours are from 8-9 a.m. and 4-5 p.m. Please note that the Extended Care option includes both morning and after care, however, campers are not required to attend both. Extended Care rate: $150 per 3-week session.

Our SUMMER Engineering Camp is a great way for kids to learn, make friends and have fun this summer. All summer sessions will be held at our campus in Dublin.
