HISTORY

The Quarry Lane School was created by founder and president, Dr. Sabri Arac, in 1991. He received his bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Michigan Technological University and earned his master’s degree and doctorate in Metallurgy/Materials Science from University of Arizona. Dr. Arac spent his early years working in the corporate world, most notably for Hewlett-Packard. He has published numerous technical works in the area of science and holds a United States patent in electronics.

While teaching at the college level, Dr. Arac began to take interest in developing a college preparatory school that would incorporate his passions for science and mathematics and prepared students for the 21st century. He envisioned a complete educational path resulting in a dynamic, high-level, secular, college preparatory school that would span kindergarten through 12th grade, provide cutting-edge instruction and honor a core group of values. This passion and vision culminated in the establishment of The Quarry Lane School. Dr. Arac is committed to developing outstanding educational programs and believes strongly in providing students with a solid foundation in education and life experiences.
